The discipline of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is concerned with the design of electronic systems, while minimizing electromagnetic coupling and interference within the system, between the system and its environment.
The discipline of electromagnetic compatibility covers and requires involvement in a wide range of other fields of engineering, mechanical and packaging engineering, electronic engineering, among others. It is a well-known fact that electronic equipment and systems can generate and/or respond to EMI, resulting in failure to meet EMC regulations.
Even with careful planning during the design, fabrication, and installation of electronic systems, EMI issues may still occur. When this happens, a structured and systematic approach is needed to identify and resolve the EMI problem.
The Course is intended for electrical and electronic engineers and technicians who are involved in the design and development, qualification, or troubleshooting of EMI problems in electronic and electrical equipment and systems, from the equipment to the system and installation levels.
