This course is intended for the engineer, scientist or technical manager from industry, educational institutions, and government agencies with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or mathematics. Some computer programming experience is helpful but not required. In this course, you will gain an understanding of techniques for modeling & simulation (M&S) of basic radar systems, subsystems and related phenomenology, with applications to radar systems design, analysis, test and evaluation, and performance assessment.
The course will start with a review of basic mathematical and probabilistic concepts necessary to understanding radar theory. This will be followed by a brief introduction to modeling and simulation concepts. The course offers a unique blend of theory and hands-on practical modeling exercises in the Matlab® and Simulink® programming environments. A half-day refresher tutorial is provided at the beginning of the course for both software packages.
